For lunch, LY took me to the first privately owned and run restaurant in Beijing, in a back-street not far from the park, where they served traditional Chinese/Beijing dishes. It was good.
LY shared with me a new drink, which is also supposed to be a traditional Beijing drink. It’s a fizzy orange drink, a bit like Fanta or Orangina but I recall it was actually a much nicer taste. I realise that is subjective, but I can’t really explain the exact reason I thought so. It seemed more refreshing somehow. Perhaps not quite so “artificial”? Really liked it. Will look out for it elsewhere.
