Maglev

Despite having taken off late we arrived in Shanghai on time, and soon I had found MacDonalds and Starbucks, where I met LX.  We went to the Maglev train to head into to town at over 300kph.

It was a little disappointing as it didn’t feel all that much different from any other train, certainly not more comfortable.  Perhaps it went from side-to-side more than normal train, and there is no “clickety clack” of wheels going over joints in rails, but, if anything, it was noisier.

We walked to my hotel from Xiaonanmen metro station, so that I would know the way later.  I checked in and LX got a taxi back to the metro.
